This is a short lyrical piece, originally written for brass and percussion, then re-orchestrated for a full orchestra in 2020. The idea was to demonstrate the full range of Infinite Brass and flex the euphoniums added in the Summer 2019 expansion. You can hear the euphonium singing the solo right at the beginning, as well as taking different counter-lines throughout the piece.
Main mics are accompanied by a Close mics a notch below, and Ambient mics two notches below. The “Studio” version uses more Close mics.
There’s a soft multi-band compressor on each bus (Horns, Trumpets, Low Brass) with some tape saturation on the master.
